- Gov.-elect Chris Christie -- flying solo, for a change -- holds a news conference in Morristown.
- Senate President Stephen Sweeney continues taking full advantage of his stint as acting governor, signing bills into law today in Paramus (related to autism), Wood-Ridge (letting volunteer firefighters and EMTs run for local office) and Princeton (providing $25 million toward utility assistance grants).
- Sen. Robert Menendez headlines a news conference at the Shop-Rite in Palisades Park to hail new credit card rules going into effect this week and release a letter he's sending the Federal Reserve calling for new rules to prevent credit card companies from inventing new interest rates and fees that evade the new law. He's joined by Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney, Palisades Park Mayor James Rotundo, the Shop-Rite's owner and officials from NJPIRG and the Consumer Union. Event was cancelled.
- The Urban Coast Institute at Monmouth University hosts an event focused on the impact of climate change on coastal communities and businesses.
- Environmental Protection Agency regional administrator Judith Enck visits Camden, where she joins with Mayor Dana Redd and community organization Heart of Camden executive director Helene Pierson to tout an online tool being developed to help residents better understand local environmental conditions.
- Health and Senior Services Deputy Commissioner Dr. Susan Walsh will join East Orange General Hospital and Essex Valley Visiting Nurse Association at a H1N1 influenza vaccination clinic to vaccinate seniors and to highlight National Influenza Vaccination Week.
